I understand and support the premise of preferred gender pronouns, and read a lot on tumblr about how incorporating asking about pgp into our spaces is crucial. I know most people I associate with are aware of this and support it, but I’ve really yet to hear anyone practice this (unless someone is very visibly genderqueer or whatnot).
I guess I want to ask others, is this something that...

There is so much beauty in the universe.

Fun fact: The sheer incomprensible size of the universe used to keep me awake at night, shivering in terror. I am not exaggerating; there were a few times that I actually had to take medication to make me drowsy enough to...

I’ve hit this point in my life where I say things like “my family is the most important thing to me” and I actually mean it. My family is certainly not perfect, we’ve been through a lot of shit together, but committing to healing those relationships instead of walking away from them is the most rewarding thing I’ve done in my life so far.

First Times: Karen Campos
latitude53:
“First Times” is a look at the pioneering spirit that animates the arts community in Edmonton, and provides our mission as an artist-run centre. We’re celebrating that spirit in the winter air on February 18 at our new annual fundraiser: the Parka Patio.
Karen Campos is a designer, artist and DJ here in Edmonton who we’ve worked with for a few events over the last couple of years....

I just get emotional at formal celebrations, I can’t help it! I honestly teared up a bit watching some random middle school students perform a dance for Chinese New Year this past weekend at City Center Mall.

Gf and I were thinking about having a cooking show where we get stoned and then think of something we want to eat and then cook it AS FAST AS POSSIBLE, because last night we made oatmeal chocolate chip cookie dough in less than five minutes and then displayed an incredibly synchronized routine of baking batches while playing rounds of mario kart.

In case there was any remaining doubt why I don’t feel I belong among feminists, even when they pay lip service to “inclusion”.
